Sue texted that today was the last day in the village and that the teams had been shining like the sun. Later she texted that there were lots of songs and hugs. They must have been doing the final large group time. :)

July 19 - Pictures from Day 1 of VBS...

Dividing and sorting the small groups...

One happy Will...

If you are friends of Pastor Will or Pastor Hower, they are posting other pictures on facebook...I've seen the ramp from the spring mission trip and heard the new one for Ellis is just about done. They are also supposed to jack up a house with a car jack? Sounds like the construction team is busy solving problems using their best Macgyver skills.

Sue writes...
It was a wonderful day in the neighborhood with our old
and new friends. We are thankful for the children's enthusiasm
and our team member's energy. It's hot but there's a breeze:).
Youth went well! It's all good:)

July 17

Hey Friends,

Please pray for the team tonight as they prepare to begin VBS, construction, dental evaluations, and physical therapy visits, youth ministry, young mom's ministry, men's Bible study and other things. There are lots of new faces on the team and tomorrow will be a day of many firsts for them. Pray that they will be open and flexible, that their ears will understand the beautiful lilt of the people of Seine Bight, and that they will be listening for God's direction in what they are doing. Ask for open hearts in the young kids and big kids and grown up kids who are in Bible studies during the morning and afternoon and that doors of opportunity would be open to the health care workers to minister. Allow the construction team to problem-solve as they work in a different setting and a much warmer setting than usual. Let all have good rest as they will be excited!

Thanks for covering the team tonight and tomorrow morning. It will be a big day for Sue as she helps get all the balls rolling for the different groups.

July 13

Hello Everyone!

Pastor Will, Karen, Bob and Sue arrived on the ground in Belize City today. They are safe and sound and ready to begin shopping for food and getting materials to Seine Bight before the team arrives on Saturday.

Be praying for the final preparations. Give thanks for Heather the Spanish teacher who is putting the finishing touches on the Spanish version of the curriculum. :) Yay God who gives different gifts to people! Pray for the children to be ready to learn about Jesus on Monday morning and for the hearts of the team to be ready to share their faith stories during the week and to be open to God's teaching as He grows their faith!

I (erin) will be updating the blog from the states this year. I won't be able to pass any comments along to the team members as I have in years past. However, if they visit the blog, they will be able to read your comments. :)

Blessings!
