Hey Everyone,
We're doing well. Today it rained. Not always a good thing in Seine Bight because if it rains, the kids stay home. They are afraid of getting sick. So we were concerned that there wouldn't be many kids at VBS. We also didn't know where VBS would be...in the church or in the school. HOwever God is bigger than our concerns! The rain let up as we were getting ready and our friend Rock, local policeman and a huge supporter of the VBS for the kids, got the school opened for us. Jim and Anna, the missionaries here, loaned us sound equipment and we were off and running. The kids still love to sing Take God's Promises and Hide them in Our Hearts at the top of their voices. It is so good to hear them and see them sing. The small group leaders are doing a great job of sharing GOd's love and God's Words with them! The youth had a good youth time with trainwreck and retelling the Nativity story. The Bobs are builders - they can do it! :) They're working on putting a house to level. THe earthquake in the spring damaged some of the buildings.
The dental team worked so hard that Mike the dentist is sitting here sleeping in the foyer of the Bellamaya. They are exhausted. Lots of cleanings and extractions today.
I'm going to wake Mike up so he can go to bed. Poor guy!
Continue to pray for us. Each day brings new challenges. :)

Good Afternoon Erin and Team,
ReplyDeleteOkay now we're praying for strength to get the work done and God's message out and for breezes to keep the misquitoes away with no rain--but as you reminded us--God has bigger ideas and better plans than we can imagine!
Love......Erin's Mom and Dad
This one's especially to the Frith Family :)
ReplyDeleteSo glad you guys made it safely and are getting set up. I'm definitely praying for you all! I've got some news for you Mom and Dad. I just got an offer from Kessaya and her mom to go to Cancun, Mexico with them--their treat. So I'm going to be leaving Friday and will be back Tuesday. Bad news is you'll have to get a cab home... hope that's ok. I'll have my cell, so call me when you get home and I'll tell you all the details. Hope you experiencing all that God has intended for you! I love you guys!
